Between May 22 and June 7, Székesfehérvár will become the international center of ninepin bowling, as the city hosts the 2025 World Ninepin Bowling Championship. This prestigious event will not only feature matches between women and men national teams, but also world championships for the U15 and U19 age categories.

Marcell Pintyőke, President of both the Hungarian and International Ninepin Bowling Federations, said that:

“The slogan of the World Championship is: ‘Ninepin returns home.’ We want to organize a special and memorable event to show that Hungary remains the home of ninepin bowling.”

Preparations for the event have been underway for months, with a more than ten-member team working in the organizing committee.

Pintyőke highlighted that they enjoy full support from the Hungarian government for the successful organization of the championship. This support also enables progress in sponsorship and long-term development efforts in Hungary.

The World Championship will not only be a sporting event but also a sports diplomacy occasion. The WNBA-NBC, WNBA, and the Hungarian Federation will hold their annual conferences in Székesfehérvár, featuring elections.

The World Ninepin Bowling Championship not only addresses present challenges but also serves long-term goals: promoting the sport, establishing stability, and laying the foundations for future development.
